Unlocking solutions faster with Open Water Fabric

Open Water Fabric directly addresses the critical challenges faced by organisations in their data transformation journey, paving the way for a more efficient and reliable data infrastructure.

Migrate seamlessy from legacy platforms

Transitioning from legacy systems, such as Business Objects on Oracle databases, can be daunting. Open Water Fabric provides a streamlined path to modernise and migrate to Microsoft Fabric, simplifying what can be a complex task.

Create a standardised and innovative data platform

Avoid turning your Fabric deployment into a fragmented "Wild West." Open Water Fabric helps establish a governed yet innovative platform, eliminating departmental silos and ensuring consistent standards so that decision-making is effective and trustworthy.

Streamline data management and reporting

Moving beyond the inefficiencies and risks of Excel-based reporting, Open Water Fabric consolidates disparate spreadsheets into a unified platform. This reduces manual data handling and enhances organisation-wide analytics and reporting capabilities.

Why choose Microsoft Fabric?

Why work with Open Water Fabric?

Rapid deployment

A typical deployment process can take months. DataDivers's Open Water Fabric frameworks cuts the process to as little as one working day with our experts and experience.

We handle the hard part: cloning environments, maintaining connections, applying rules and making sure everything is wired correctly. You get a ready-to-use platform without the heavy engineering effort.

Cost-efficient, ready-made frameworks

Building your own Fabric framework is expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to maintain, requiring resources and data experts.

Open Water Fabric gives you a proven, reusable framework that costs less than building from scratch and reduces ongoing configuration effort.

Frequently asked questions about Open Water Fabric

Do I need Microsoft Fabric if I already have a data platform?

We usually recommend that clients continue using their existing data platform and leverage the new components within Microsoft Fabric, such as notebooks, machine learning models or experiments.

Fabric integrates natively with Microsoft Azure and is compatible with most existing platforms. For non-Azure environments, it offers many of the same connectors used by Azure, making integration seamless.

Is Microsoft Fabric compatible with Dataverse?

Yes. Fabric can access Dataverse tables through either shortcuts or Azure Synapse Link for Microsoft Fabric, allowing smooth data integration and analysis across systems.

Does Microsoft Fabric support CI/CD?

Fabric’s CI/CD capabilities are still evolving. Currently, you can implement CI/CD using DevOps pipelines or Power BI Deployment Pipelines, though Microsoft hasn’t yet established a standard recommended method. Our experts can help you determine the best approach for your environment.
